What we collect

When a parent or student posts a tuition requirement, we collect the details entered in the form, which can include a student's name, class, subject, location, budget, notes, and the posting adult's contact details. Teacher accounts can include names, contact and profile details, qualifications, experience, photographs, identity documents submitted for verification, and verification status. We also keep account, coin purchase, lead-unlock, and support/contact records, plus technical information such as IP address and browser type for site operation, security, and fraud prevention.

How it is used

• Requirement details are used to match tuition requests; the posting adult's contact number is shared with up to seven teachers who unlock that request.
• Identity documents are reviewed by authorised Classwide administrators for verification and are not displayed to other users.
• Razorpay processes payments; The Classwide does not receive your full card or bank credentials.
• Account and contact details support sign-in, verification, requested email alerts, support, and security.
• Technical logs are used for security and fraud prevention.

Cookies and third-party services

The site uses session and security tokens to keep accounts working and protect forms. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive technical information such as your IP address. Google services are used for sign-in and advertising, and Razorpay processes payments. These providers may receive information needed to deliver their services and may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own settings and policies. Advertising settings can affect personalisation and measurement. We are reviewing the precise cookie and retention details and will update this notice as they are confirmed.

Emails

Teachers receive an email for each new requirement. This can be switched off from the teacher dashboard at any time.

Children's data

The Classwide is intended for use by adults: parents, guardians and teachers. Where a requirement is posted for a minor student, we collect only what the parent or guardian chooses to share about the student (such as class and subject), not directly from the child.

Data retention

We keep account and requirement data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations. Identity documents are retained only as long as needed for verification and compliance.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and documents, by writing to us from the contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
